NICHE ၊၊||၊ Artisans
In its third cycle, the NICHE contemporary electroacoustic music concert series will invite visitors not to its usual location - the spaces of Kaunas Artists' House, but to various architectural objects in Kaunas, where visitors will be offered guided tours before the concerts, as well as exclusive talks by Algimantas Grigas (from the initiative ‘’Ekskursas’’), the curator of the tour programme, and other tour guides. The first concert of the programme will take place on the 23rd of April in the former Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, which houses the Art and Music Department of the Ąžuolynas Library. This concert will be the first time that the contemporary music ensemble Artisans will present themselves to the Kaunas audience, performing the programme of their new album Synthetic Piss (released by the Music Information Centre Lithuania).

"Artisans" is a creative post-music collective that could also be described as a contemporary music ensemble, band or chapel. The ensemble was formed in 2019, on the initiative of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre's composition course and friends. The combination of frustration, ambition and curious self-irony has become the main element of the ensemble's identity. Seriousness in the face of the absurd, exploration and juxtaposition of various incompatible sonic aesthetics have become the most important elements of Artisans' concert programmes.
